We The Well Beings was created from a simple but deeply held belief: that nourishing food, meaningful connection, and practical guidance can help people build healthier lives.
Our work brings together a nutritious plant-based meal plan, wellness programs, and culturally grounded education to support individuals in caring for their health in a more connected and sustainable way.
We believe wellness isn't something we earn. It is something we remember. And remembering
can begin now with the right guidance and support.
Our programs are designed to support the whole person — physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually
— while helping individuals build practical habits that can be sustained over time. Rather than focusing on
restriction or quick fixes, we focus on:

instead of deprivation

instead of confusion

instead of perfection
Through this work, individuals begin to reconnect with their health, build confidence, and create meaningful change in their daily lives.
This work has been shaped through real experiences working with individuals, families, and communities navigating complex health challenges. Through our programs, we have seen people begin to reconnect with their health, build confidence, and make meaningful changes in their lives. These experiences continue to guide everything we create.

Our approach is informed by Native Hawaiian values and ʻike (knowledge) passed down
through kūpuna (elders) and Kumu (teachers). It emphasizes balance, connection, and
care — for oneself, for others, and for the broader community. It reminds us that health is
not something we pursue alone, but something we cultivate together.
This work is supported by a foundation of experience in education, health, and community-based programming.
Dr. Malia brings a background in education and wellness, along with years of experience working with individuals, communities, health centers, schools, and businesses to support meaningful and lasting health improvements.
With a foundation in psychological and brain sciences, Gabrielle brings insight into behavior, habit formation, and the mental aspects of health and wellbeing.
Together, their work is guided by a shared intention to support others with care, clarity, and respect — helping people better understand their health and take steps toward lasting change in ways that feel realistic and supportive.

With the right support and structure, small changes begin to build — leading to lasting improvements in health and wellbeing.
Our work has been recognized in the community through partnerships with healthcare organizations, schools, and professionals, where we have seen participants make meaningful improvements in their health, confidence, and overall wellbeing.

This work matters because it reaches beyond the individual. When one person begins to better understand their health, it often influences how they care for their family, how they nourish their children, and how they show up in their community. Over time, those changes can extend across generations, creating a ripple effect that supports healthier, more connected lives.
The Hāʻehuola Wellness Program is a community-centered experience that combines nourishing meals, practical tools, and guided support to help participants build healthier lifestyles.

This work is inspired by a deep love for our kūpuna, and by the example of a father who dedicated his life to caring for others and his community. That spirit continues through the Kealoha Nui Foundation, which carries forward a commitment to serving the community through acts of care, nourishment, and connection.
As we continue to grow, we are expanding access to this work through new programs,
learning opportunities, and spaces for connection — while staying grounded in the values
that guide us.
