Program

A structured, community-centered experience that supports participants in making meaningful and lasting changes to their health — rooted in Native Hawaiian values and a holistic approach that considers the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of health.

The Program Includes

Plant-based, medically tailored meals

Wellness education through guided videos and weekly Zoom lessons

Group support and shared experience

A comprehensive workbook for reflection and application

Practical tools for improving eating habits and building sustainable changes

Resources such as shopping guidance and meal preparation support

Community Impact

The Hāʻehuola Wellness Program has been developed and delivered in partnership with healthcare organizations, including Waimānalo Health Center, ʻOhana Health Plan, AlohaCare, HMSA, Kaʻōhao Charter School, Mālama Honua Charter School, Kinai ʻEha, and other providers.

These partnerships reflect a shared commitment to supporting individuals and the broader community through accessible, nutritious, culturally grounded approaches to health and wellness.

A Culturally Relevant Approach

This program reflects a Native Hawaiian perspective on health and wellbeing, integrating ʻike (knowledge) passed down through …kupuna (elders)…’ohana (family and teachers). It is grounded in Native Hawaiian values that emphasize balance, connection, and care for oneself, ʻohana, and the community.
